Lost time creating useless templates...

Hi, I was creating templates for translation until I realized that this site doesn't have Parser Functions Extension installed (#if, #switch, etc)

Unregistered user could use Sidebar in other languages..

Hi. If you make Main Page/xx versions of Main Page (and /xx versions of other pages accessible from sidebar), unregistered user could have interface in other languages according to language of pages selected. To do that you should make some changes in LocalSettings.php

Check this setting and some extra info in this Commons Sidebar talk

BTW, if you write Main Page links below * Languages, that section is not translated automatically, use * LANGUAGES instead. If you want that section in top, just move * LANGUAGES to first place. Ref.: Pirate Galaxy wiki sidebar

Extra pages, not a big deal... :s

Hi, I understand your point, but...

Those extra pages, if redirected, are just a single entry in database. I think that MySQL is very fast enough to manage those entries.

They not take much space. No more that is used by Help, if you count the characters used.

BTW, why did you delete the "Under Construction" pages that I created? I don't understand.

And if you still don't want it, at least it is usefull in Portal: pages (like Help, Ships, Item Shop, etc).

one way you can do just about anything u want is with raw html. i found code that enables html and added it in notes to the common.js. if you want it active, take it out of the notes.

New system template

Wow, I really like the way you improved the template. I'm going to remove the "== Ships ==" and put it in the infobox, that should remove the giant space and it will look nice.

I've got a question though, how do I use "nohangar" for the planets that don't have a hangar? I set up a similar variable (?) for mapless planets (Stargates, Starbases etc.)

System/info

All right, it's obvious we have different views on how the planets should be represented. I think having a thumbnail on the side is much better, for one it keeps the height of the whole "part", because if you have an expandable it just pops up an image and it looks abnormal since there's so little text for each planet.

Oh, and, an orange color against a white background is not a very good choice IMO. If you have an idea about how to improve this, I'm all ears.

Planet Templates

No, I mean I think we should just put the maps in thumbnails because it looks better. The collapsible ruins the design, and clicking and waiting a second for the map to load isn't a big price to pay for a better looking page.

Face it pbhuh, ur addicted to the collapsible and use it even when it is making things worse. thumbnails are how it is supposed to be. collapse should be used when u want something hidden or reduced in consumed space that can't be reduced in a more effective manner. thumbnails are more effective for images. (And don't forget to sigh ur posts starfury)--

Modifications done by Marco123 in wrong place

Hi, about a month ago Marco123 did some modifications in Getting Started to translate it to German. I undid those and moved the text to Talk:DE/Erste_Schritte, cause I don't have the skills in German to include it in DE/Erste_Schritte by myself. I wrote an explanation in User_talk:Marco123, but I think he is not currently active. Can you check the translation?

Well, my online status is looking a whole lot better than it did. I am now able to successfully log in to both the Wiki (as you can see) and PG freely with little to no hassle. I am hoping I can redeem my status as WM since I can help out again. It'll take me a little while to bring myself back up to speed with the new info on the Wiki and other possible additions I will need to know so the trainer will have to come after the WM, if you will allow my return :)

About Seasonal Events...

Hi! Recently I used a link in the forum [3] for Seasonal Events.

Tracking back the page, I noticed that the calling pages are orphaned. It is linked by Pirate Galaxy Wiki:Events, wich is in turn linked by Pirate Galaxy Wiki:Current events, Template talk:Sidepanel and Template talk:Pageday, wich is orphaned. The page is not reachable from normal public pages. I suggest to include it in some of pages from main or other related page.
