The beginning system of all star pilots, the Vega system is where you'll learn most about being a daring space hero.
Story:
The Colonial Administration is in war with the Mantis. Aside from the battlefield, however, a few space Pirates, who are smuggling precious ores from the mines of Kalabesh, are recruiting new members. Jake Rattenbury, their leader, however, seems very interested in stealing secret, important information from the Colonials...

Planets

Dante

A planet of molten iron, Dante shows signs of an advanced alien civilization that once lived within the Vega System.

Dante is one of the two conquest areas available in the Vega system, the other being the Asteroid Junkyard.

Hangar facilities available

Axiom

Axiom preview.jpg

The home of the Colonial Administration, Axiom is a dangerous and somewhat inhospitable planet with earthquakes, eruptions and lava flows common.

The Administration is based here primarily because of the natural defensive barriers that the lava flows provide; making it near impossible for pirates and bandits to carry out successful raids against government property.

Hangar facilities available

The Asteroid Junkyard

PreviewAsteroidJunkyard.jpg

A dense Asteroid field with many wrecked spaceships, the Junkyard is a favourite hiding place for all types of bandits.

The Asteroid Junkyard is the second conquest area in the Vega System.

Hangar facilities available

Kalabesh

Kalabeshpreview.jpg

A major mining planet, Kalabesh enjoyed great wealth before the closure of the Vega Star Gate and the brief Mantis War.

Now, with the strict rationing system imposed by the Colonial Admistration, Kalabesh has slid into decline and is now a shadow of its former self.

Hangar facilities available

Colossus

Due to the high pressure atmosphere of Colossus, it is impossible to land here unless conditions permit.

Lyris

Lyris1.jpg

This small, swampy world is covered by dense vegetation consisting of bizarre alien plants.

The atmosphere is toxic and there are no permanent human settlements. However, recently a private science initiative has created hermetically sealed labs enabling research into the bizarre plants and giant fungus growing here to be carried out.

Lyris is the only moon of the planet Colossus.

Aurora

Auroraprevieuw.jpg

The icy world of Aurora was once the home of an religious sect known simply as 'the Brotherhood'. Exactly what they worshipped is unclear, but some believe they were tasked with a great burden.

The Brotherhood were the first people in the System to discover Cryonite, located deep within Aurora. Cryonite quickly became the dominant currency for trade in the System; due mainly to its scarcity and extreme usefulness in manufacturing highly advanced technology.

It was not long after this that the Mantis arrived. They took Aurora with a speed and force never before witnessed by human eyes. The Brotherhood and colonial guards posted there did not have a change...

Vega Stargate

Stargate.JPG

The Vega Stargate is the entry to a hyperspace. It has been a forbidden area since it was disabled to halt a great threat posed against the colonist's forefathers.

Some believe that the Mantis have re-programmed the gate and are now using it to send for ever larger numbers of reinforcements.
